Join us for a cocktail of cosmic science, poetry and imagery with Rab Wilson.
Rab Wilson, the renowned Scots poet, offers selected highlights from his collaboration with the late John C. Brown, Astronomer Royal for Scotland. In their book Oor Big Braw Cosmos the pair created a fascinating guide to our skies and beyond, bringing together science, poetry and image to convey the beauty of our cosmos. The talk is a fabulous introduction to astronomy with a distinctly Scottish twist, infused with original space-inspired poetry and haiku, as well as spectacular photographs!
Astronomer Steven Gray will also be on hand to chat about the science behind the poems. A unique talk highlighting the connections between art and science. Let Rab and Steve introduce you to space as you’ve never known it before!
