Are you an amateur Indiana Jones? Leny Woods is situated at the Highland Boundary Fault and holds archaeological sites from the prehistoric period, Roman occupation, Medieval period, and beyond. Our community archaeology training programme will help us discover more about this unique area and develop your skills in archaeological research and surveying.
At this indoor desk-based session, we will find out how to write reports that detail and analyse the results of archaeological surveys out on the field. Experts from Northlight Heritage will be on hand to answer any of your questions, and the group will look at the results from the recent walkover and measured surveys at Leny Woods.
Individuals, families, and groups of people are all welcome to get involved and volunteer. All activities will be run by a leader and full instruction and supervision will be provided. No experience is needed!
